All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in a spirit of brotherhood.
We are all human beings. Where you were born, who you grew up with, how you were raised. These facts seem to determine our behavior, how we react, in which way we interact with each other, how we treat each other, how we treat other human beings.
There is so much going on in this world, in today`s world. People do horrible things. They destroy, they kill, they rape, they hate. The darkest depths of the human soul seem to know no limits. It seems to be the easiest to keep your eyes shut. To not think about these things, to not let them come into your life, as ignorance is bliss.
But seeing something does not mean that it is not there. These things exist, they happen every day, everywhere. They are not far away, as we want to think, as we wish, as we hope. They are real and they are there. As human beings we have the duty to confront ourselves with these issues. To be aware of them, to talk about them to see them. Walking through life with open eyes seems to be sometimes hard but it is the only way.
