The Native Americans Week
The Native Americans Week workshops for children were held in the Poleski Art Centre on 26-30 September 2005.
They were the first classes for children organised this year within the programme of year long ecological education called My Green World.
610 children from 19 Lodz's schools and nurseries took part in the workshops.
Many thanks to children and the teachers for their cooperation! :)
During the workshops the participants:
- met Mirko who is a Native American
- listened to a story about life of Native Americans
- learnt interesting things about Native Americans, their culture and traditions
- got to know the Native American calendar
- got familiar with traditional legends and acted roles of famous heroes
- made an amulet
- tasted real Native American delicacies
