The Carnival Festival of Magic
On 20-24.02.2006 in the Polesie Art Centre in Lodz workshops for children, titled The Carnival Festival of Magic, took place.
The workshops were co-financed by the Public Health Department of the Lodz City Council. 530 children from Lodz’s schools and nurseries took part in the project.
We thank to all children and teachers for their cooperation.
During the workshops children:
1. hand made a magic object
2. took part in theatrical workshops, called The Castle of Fear, during which they met Merce, a fairy from Spain
3. participated in lessons of the Magic School of Leon – the Clown and brief circus training
4. got to know carnival traditions from different countries
5. saw an exhibition of magic plants and found out about their healing influence
6. tasted meals prepared by genuine fairies
